"My father was my first art teacher. He taught me the value and joy of expressing one's self through painting and drawing," said Mary Sue.

She has worked as a professional graphic designer, art instructor, and story board artist. In addition to her commissioned work, she is a private art instructor for children, teens, and adults.

Mary Sue is often inspired by her travels and the many different places she and her family have lived.

Mary Sue studied at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and the Art Students' League.

Mary Sue is a member of the GSW Society, The Art Student's League of New York, and IPAPA of Indiana and the BWS. She won several “Special Merit Awards” in the 2017 International  Animals Art Exhibition, and two "Special Merit Awards"  in the 2017 International Botanical Art Exhibition, and 4th place overall in the 2018 Botanical Exhibit, with a second place in the painting category, Special Merit awards in the Animal and Portrait competitions, 2018.
